The report states that the government has no other option but to temporarily close X. On the request of secret agencies, the Ministry of Interior ordered the closure of X. To maintain order.
The report said that the social media platform is being used to spread extremist ideas and misinformation, X is being used by some miscreants to undermine law and order, promote instability.
The Ministry of Interior’s report said that the purpose of X’s closure is not to restrict freedom of expression or access to information, but rather to promote responsible use of social media platforms. Law.
Social media platform Tik Tok was also banned by the government earlier, the ban was lifted after Tik Tok signed an agreement to abide by Pakistani law, the report said.
The Home Ministry report said that the closure of X is not against Article 19 of the Constitution, banning social media platforms across the world due to security reasons, the petition against the closure of X should be dismissed.
